Create what you love

Finally I have discovered what I have actually enjoyed when I was a child. Decorating interiors and matching colors and creating harmony and cosiness in a space. Sometimes I could redecorate my entire bedroom until I was satisfied. When I started living on my own I could finally decorate my own house and that made me super happy.

During my work as an optician I discovered that I could also apply this creativity online. By helping my employer with the design of websites and marketing. That also made me very happy, but I didn't follow through with it.

A year later I rediscovered my creative side. One year after I met Niels we decided to buy our own van and converted it into a tiny-house on wheels. My love for creation started to flow again.

A few years later my partner and I became proud mum and dad of our daughter Bobbie Jones. In the meantime I helped with the design for the website of my previous employer, Mareille. I noticed joy again and a few years later Niels asked me to help with the design for his website and then the light went on because again I became super enthusiastic to create something from nothing to a beautiful result.

I asked myself: "Why didn't I do more with this?" I also said this out loud and suddenly an opportunity arose through a company Niels worked with. They asked him if he wanted to build a website and he thought of me.. "Jasmijn how would you like to help me with the design?" I responded very happily and that became my first real assignment.

Sometimes it's a beautiful journey to discover what you are good at. If you know please do what makes you happy and joyful.
